Principle of X-ray Tube

When a high voltage is applied to the X-ray Tube in a vacuum state, an electric current flows through the filament and heats it. As it is heated, a thermoelectron is generated.
A thermoelectron generated in the filament is accelerated due to the potential difference between the anode and cathode and it collides with the target.
When colliding with the target, most of the kinetic energy of electrons is emitted in the form of thermal energy. At the same time, electromagnetic waves are emitted. and the emitted electromagnetic waves are called X-rays.

Principle of rotation-type

Each electrode is sealed inside the x-ray tube glass that is prepared in a vacuum of 10-8Torr.
The anode connected to the rotor is rotated in the vacuum at high speed due to the rotating field of the stator coil attached outside the X-ray insert tube.
The X-ray tube, which has a structure preventing the anode from rotating, is called a fixed type.
